🚐 Transportation

🚗1. Depending on the number of participants, a 5-17 seat vehicle will be arranged. Around 06:00, our driver will pick up guests one by one near Lijiang Old Town and Shuhe Ancient Town. Dismissal will be around 17:30 at Lijiang Old Town (final timing subject to actual arrival; please plan your schedule reasonably. We’re not responsible for missed flights/trains due to itinerary delays).

🚗2. For sunrise viewing or holidays, departure is early. If you cannot accept this, please reconsider before booking.

🚗3. Before 22:30 the day prior to your trip, our driver/guide will call to confirm your pick-up point and time. Please keep your phone available. If you haven’t received a call by 22:30, contact our supplier or your dedicated customer service representative.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is one of Lijiang’s most famous scenic spots and a sacred mountain in the hearts of the Naxi people. It has 13 continuously rising peaks, resembling a silver dragon soaring through the sky — hence the name. 🐉

Visitors can directly take a cable car up the mountain to admire the stunning high-altitude glaciers — a highlight for many travelers. 🚡❄️

🌄 Snow Mountain Overview

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is known for its “steepness, uniqueness, beauty, and elegance.” From the base to the summit, it features a wide range of ecosystems — from subtropical, to temperate, to frigid zones — all layered by altitude. 🌿🌲❄️

At the foot of the mountain lies Ganhaizi, a vast meadow. In spring and summer, gentians and rhododendrons bloom across the grassland. From here, one can clearly view the entire Jade Dragon Mountain range.

At around 3,200 meters altitude is Spruce Meadow (Yunshanping), considered sacred among Naxi youth. It is a peaceful alpine meadow surrounded by towering ancient trees and thick vines — tranquil and secluded. 🌲💫

Beneath the 13 peaks of Jade Dragon lie 19 modern maritime glaciers. From a distance, they appear like waterfalls cascading down the fan-shaped cliffs, shimmering silver under the sunlight. 🌞🌨️

Visitors can take the large cable car to reach 4,506 meters, then walk along the mountain boardwalk to admire the glaciers and majestic main peak up close. 🚶♀️❄️

🚠 The Large Cable Car

The most popular cable car in the scenic area transports visitors from the lower station at Ganhaizi to Glacier Park at 4,506 meters above sea level.

After getting off the cable car, you can follow the wooden boardwalk laid over the glacier up to 4,680 meters — the highest point — to fully experience the beauty of the snow mountain and glacier up close. 🧊🏞️

In the case of strong winds, the cable car may be suspended. Please check official updates for the latest status.

🚠 Spruce Meadow Cable Car

The lower station is located at the foot of the mountain by the Baishui River, accessible via the scenic area’s eco-bus.

Taking this cable car leads to Spruce Meadow at 3,240 meters, an excellent viewpoint for gazing at the full range of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. 🌲🏔️

🚠 Yak Meadow Cable Car

Yak Meadow is a large pasture located on the other side of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, about 15 km from Spruce Meadow.

From Yak Meadow, visitors can enjoy a different perspective of the mountain range. 🐂🌄

🌿 Gan Haizi

Gan Haizi is located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It was once a lake wetland, but later dried up and became a dense alpine meadow. 🏔️🌾

The meadow is very wide and serves as an excellent pasture. Since it’s very close to the mountain, visitors can see all 13 peaks of Jade Dragon — it’s a great spot for photographing the mountain from below. 📸🐄

Most tourists don’t come to Gan Haizi specifically, but stop by while visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. A short walk and a few photos on the meadow usually take 30 minutes to an hour. 🚶♀️⏱️

❄️Once inside the scenic area, travel between attractions is done via official eco-buses. Our vehicle is not allowed to drive inside the scenic area — thank you for understanding! 🚌📛

💧 Blue Moon Valley (No Entrance Fee)

Blue Moon Valley lies at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It’s formed by the Baishui River, which is fed by the mountain’s meltwater. The crystal-clear blue water is stunning and eye-catching. 🌈💙

There are four main lakes in the valley — “Jade Liquid,” “Mirror Pool,” “Blue Moon,” and “Sound of Waves” — each with its own unique shade. Many small waterfalls dot the landscape, making it perfect for photography. 🏞️📷

❄️Visitors can either walk or take an electric shuttle (CNY 50/person, not included in the tour; you can decide on your own). 🛺🚶

🚠 Glacier Park Cable Car (Ticket Included)

The cable car stretches 2,980 meters, with an upper station at 4,506 meters and a lower station at 3,356 meters — a vertical rise of 1,150 meters — making it one of the highest-altitude cableways in China and the world. 🚡⛰️

❄️ Glacier Park (No Entrance Fee)

Glacier Park is located on the northeast slope of the main peak — Fansidou — in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In fall, winter, and spring, it’s blanketed in snow. In summer, visitors can see glaciers formed over 40,000 years ago. ❄️🧊

The cable car makes access easy, offering a rare chance to experience the grandeur of the snow mountain up close. 💙✨

To visit Glacier Park, one must first arrive at the mountain’s scenic area and then take the main cable car. 🚠📍

The cable car ride takes about 15 minutes, though there may be a 1–2 hour wait due to queues. The upper station is located inside Glacier Park. ⌛🗻

During summer, visitors can experience “four seasons in a single day” during the ride. 🌦️🌸❄️

At the summit, enjoy the stunning snow-capped views. In summer, you can see the ancient Baishui No. 1 Glacier up close. ❄️👀

In other seasons, the snow-covered mountains look both majestic and serene. 🏔️🤍

There’s also a marker stone at 4,688 meters — a popular spot for tourist photos! 📸🪨

❄️Cable car times are strictly assigned by the park. To avoid long queues, the order of activities may be adjusted — Blue Moon Valley may be visited before or after the cable car ride. 🔁🚠

Booking Notes

Booking Restrictions: For safety reasons, minors under 18 need at least one adult to accompany them. Pregnant women are not accepted for booking.

Other Restrictions: This is a destination tour. Please arrive in Lijiang before midnight on the first day for departure. The group will disband after 6:00 PM on the last day in Lijiang.

Group Formation Explanation: This product requires at least 1 participant to form a group. Once confirmed, the group will depart. If not, the agency will compensate according to the contract. The maximum group size is 8 participants. Any exceeding participants will be compensated at 10% of the total order amount.

Departure Notice: The latest departure notice will be sent by 8:00 PM on the day before departure. If payment is made after 6:00 PM the day before, the notice will be sent before 12:00 PM on departure day. Please contact staff if not received.

Mixed Group Tour Explanation: This product is a mixed group tour. You may share transportation with other travel agency clients. By submitting your order, you agree to this arrangement.

 

Booking and Travel Information

If multiple people are traveling, the person making the reservation or acting as the group representative confirms that they have obtained the consent of all other travelers to act as the contract signatory. All group members acknowledge the representative’s signature on the travel contract and its appendices.

To ensure the safety of minors during travel, it is recommended that minors be accompanied by guardians or that their companions carry a guardian authorization letter.

This travel destination is at a high altitude. Guests with serious conditions like hypertension or heart disease, as well as elderly travelers, should consult a doctor and make travel decisions cautiously.

After booking, please prepare medications to alleviate altitude sickness symptoms and get ready in advance.

The climate in high-altitude areas is dry with strong sunlight and UV radiation. It is recommended to bring sunglasses, sun hats, sunscreen, and lip balm.

There is a large temperature difference between day and night; please bring long-sleeved clothing and warm clothes. It’s also advisable to carry cold medicine, stomach medicine, aspirin, sedatives, and headache powder in case of altitude sickness.

If you feel unwell during the trip, please inform the service staff and travel agency immediately, seek medical attention with their assistance, and follow medical advice.

During the trip, if force majeure causes any attraction/venue to be inaccessible, the service staff may, upon mutual agreement, cancel or replace the attraction/venue based on the actual situation, or refund the ticket fee based on the ticket price listed in the tour product (not based on the listed price of the attraction). For complimentary items, the attraction/venue reserves the right to decide whether to offer them based on its capacity and weather conditions. Participation is optional.

For group meals, the travel agency guarantees hygiene and quantity according to agreed standards. However, taste preferences vary by region and may not match your expectations. Thank you for understanding.

During the actual trip, the itinerary may be adjusted appropriately by the guide or driver (e.g., order of visits, meeting times, etc.) due to weather, traffic, etc., as long as no attractions are omitted and your consent is obtained to ensure a smooth journey.

Tour durations, especially for the Impression Lijiang performance, may be adjusted slightly according to local conditions. Cable cars in the Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area may temporarily close due to weather or maintenance, in which case the guide will make appropriate and reasonable itinerary adjustments.

Due to local economic conditions, transportation, hotel facilities, and dining may differ from those in more developed cities. We appreciate your understanding.

During peak seasons or special circumstances, departure times may be earlier than usual to ensure the smoothness of the itinerary, which may prevent you from having hotel breakfast. It is recommended to request a breakfast takeaway or prepare your own. Thank you for your understanding.

Plant-based attractions (such as maple leaves, cherry blossoms, rapeseed flowers) may not be in ideal bloom due to weather. Thank you for understanding.

If the cableway in Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area is closed due to weather or maintenance, the following arrangements will be made depending on the actual situation:

1. If a small cableway is available as a substitute, the guide will refund the price difference of ¥80 per person (if the original product included the small cableway, no refund will be given).

2. If all cableways are suspended, the guide will refund ¥120 per person (for the large cableway) or ¥40 per person (for the small one).

This product does not include visits to designated shopping stores (shopping at scenic spots/venues and on cruises organized by non-agency businesses is excluded) and contains no compulsory shopping. If any unauthorized shopping activity is added, once verified, we will compensate you with 10% of the total tour cost as a penalty.

During the trip, some attractions/venues, restaurants, or rest areas may have shopping areas not arranged by the travel agency. We advise you to make purchases rationally based on your own needs and keep receipts. Any consumer disputes will be your responsibility. Thank you for understanding.

Travelers eligible for discounted tickets (e.g., military ID, senior citizen ID, student ID) should bring the original documents. The actual ticket discount policy and amount are subject to on-site assessment by the staff.

Please carry your valid ID card during the trip. Children under 16 must carry their household register book. Travelers over 16 without an ID must provide a valid certificate issued by the local authority. Be sure to check the expiration date of your ID before departure to avoid any travel disruptions.

If purchasing a child ticket using the ID of an accompanying adult or the child’s own ID, the original ID and order number must be presented. If the child does not have a resident ID and uses the household register number, then the original household register or a temporary ID issued by the railway police is required to collect the ticket.
